The cottage is tucked into a peaceful, natural wooded setting at the back of a one-acre property, shared with the owners’ personal home and a detached workshop (Quonset hut – metal barn structure). ⚓ Your hosts, Kristi & Ian, run Epic Excursions, a local adventure company in Wrightsville Beach, and use the Quonset hut to store surfboards, paddleboards, and boating gear—hence the name “Captain’s Hideout.” 🏡The cottage sits behind the Quonset hut, offering plenty of privacy. A private driveway leads directly to the cottage and is exclusively for Captain’s Hideout guests. 🏖️ Though tucked away in a beautiful, prime Wilmington neighborhood, you’re just minutes from the beach, shopping, and local attractions. 👋 As hosts, we respect your privacy but are always happy to say hello if you cross paths! 🛥️ If you choose to enjoy a boating adventure with Epic Excursions during your stay, message us—we’re happy to offer a special guest discount for our cottage visitors.

The cottage is located in a serene setting tucked away in the trees of our property which is in the back of a beautiful neighborhood. We live in a special area of Wilmington, which is highly desirable for it's location. The area is in known as "the bubble of Wilmington"as it's close to the beaches, minutes to the best restaurants, and a short drive to Mayfaire for shopping!
