The cottage is tucked into a natural wooded setting in the back of an acre property which is shared with the owners personal home and detached workshop (Quonset hut -metal barn structure). Your hosts, Kristi & Ian, own an adventure company (Epic Excursions) in Wrightsville Beach and use the Quonset hut to store their surf/paddle boards and boating gear (hence the name "Captain's Hideout"). The cottage is situated behind the quonset hut, providing plenty of privacy for guests. A private driveway leads to the cottage which is used just for Captain's Hideout guests! The property is located in the back of a beautiful neighborhood (which is considered prime location in Wilmington) and feels like a true getaway, even though you are minutes to the beach. As owners we like to respect the privacy of our guests, but feel free to say hello if we cross paths. If you decide to take on a boating adventure with Epic Excursions during your stay, message us and we can offer a discount since you are a guest in our cottage.
